About Sigal the teacher
About the Hebrew teacher – Sigal
Shalom,
I’m Sigal Cohen and I live in Yehud, Nice to meet you.
I have taught Hebrew in high school and university since 1997.
I have a bachelor’s degree from Tel Aviv University in the Hebrew language and philosophy
and a master’s degree from Bar Ilan University in the Hebrew language.
I love dealing with languages and the influence it has on thinking and culture.
The Hebrew language has always been my main love and occupation: teaching the Hebrew language in high school, in pre-academic preparatory schools, and at the university, and also in Hebrew language private lessons at my home.
As part of my work, I gained experience with all types of learners and learned to adapt my teaching methods to the learning styles unique to them: young people, teenagers, and adults; students with fast absorption and students with slower absorption; Students with attention and concentration difficulties.
(ADHD).
My outstanding features are
creating an excellent personal relationship with the students,
patience, diversity, and creativity.
About Sigal’s Family
My family :
We have three charming and beloved children:
One daughter, Maya, and two sons, Tomer and Eyal.
All three have already graduated from high school.
We like to go for a walk in the morning or in the afternoon. There is a beautiful route near our house that is all in nature.
We also like to travel, see breathtaking landscapes, and meet new people and diverse cultures.
I have been dancing folk dances since childhood, and every weekend I go to a class dance that has close to a thousand people.
We will be happy to host you in our home and get to know you
About Sigal’s – Hebrew teacher house
We live in Yehud, a city in the center of the country and very close to Ben Gurion Airport,
20 minutes drive to anywhere in Gush Dan: Ramat Gan, Givatayim, Tel Aviv.
We have a large private house with a well-kept yard surrounded by tall trees, plants and flowers. The house is located in very quiet corner, and during most of the day, you can hear birds chirping. Our families live quite close so we meet for joint meals on Saturdays and holidays.
Within walking distance from the house, there are shopping centers, a supermarket, highly recommended restaurants, and cafes. Sports lovers have hiking trails, cycling, and gyms.

I had the great pleasure of meeting this wonderful and welcoming family. They made me feel at home right away. They even invited me to a holiday dinner with Sigal’s lovely parents. All of the family were so friendly and patient and willing to listen to my developing Hebrew.
Sigal is a very patient and encouraging teacher. Her lessons were always organized and interesting. She taught in a way that allowed me to speak Hebrew out in the real world- at cafes, stores, supermarkets.. She included me in some of her own activities (spinning class, folk dancing) . She also made a very delicious breakfast every morning. I had a lovely, private room with everything I needed. Even though I have a long way to go, I feel much more comfortable attempting to communicate in Hebrew and I plan to continue to learn . I have only good things to say about my memorable experience with Sigal!
Thank you very much for your warm and detailed feedback. We were delighted to meet and host you, and personally, I had the pleasure of teaching you Hebrew and witnessing your progress. I am delighted to hear that you had an excellent experience in Israel, and that your confidence in speaking Hebrew improved day by day, as you practiced it in various situations. We will miss you and look forward to seeing you again soon.
I had a wonderful experience learning with Sigal through Home Ulpan. She is an excellent teacher – she was thoroughly prepared for all of our lessons and I learned a great deal during my time with her. She adapted her lessons to my specific goals. I made a ton of progress during my time at Home Ulpan and hit the milestones I had set for myself.
Sigal has a wonderful home and a welcoming family, which made living and learning with them a joy. In addition to regular lessons, we had several morning opportunities to practice Hebrew on tiyuls in the neighborhood. There are also bus routes nearby which can take you into Tel Aviv should you want to explore. I think Home Ulpan is an excellent opportunity and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an immersive Hebrew learning experience.
Thank you very much, Harry, for your warm recommendation. My family and I were delighted to meet you and host you for almost three weeks. I enjoyed challenging you in Hebrew. You are a diligent and meticulous student, and the results were immediate. I am happy that you were able to achieve your goals during your Hebrew studies at Home Ulpan and that you had a successful experience. We will miss you and look forward to seeing you again soon. Good luck!
